Dudley Town Centre
Accommodation Project

Known within the Council as ‘Transforming our workplace’ this project is the largest of two currently in progress through the partnership. The partnership will dispose of some twelve sites used by the Council as offices in Dudley town centre. As a result, the partnership will provide funding to the Council with which it will finance its wider transformation agenda and refurbishment of a much smaller, core office campus. In the current economic climate the partnership has enabled the Council to:

  • Embark on a project that will deliver significant annual revenue savings;

  • Access capital funds for much needed refurbishment work to old and unsuitable offices;

  • Access expertise that is guiding the Council through the initial phase of its ambitious transformation agenda for council services.

Dorset surplus asset
disposal programme

Dorset County Council is committed to driving significant revenue savings through a comprehensive review of its property assets. The partnership is tasked with supporting the delivery of this programme. This takes place in a number of ways;

  • Providing capital investment to de-risk assets and enhance value prior to disposal

  • Providing additional resources to supplement those of the Council to accelerate the delivery of the programme

  • Engaging in complex site assembly and joint venture arrangements to enhance the value of the Council’s assets and drive increased capital receipts.

The partnership is working on sites across the County from small scale residential opportunity sites to complex town centre development sites and commercial development opportunities.
